Former PAAS convener of Surat Nikhil Savani joins BJP with 150 welcoming govt decisions related to Patidars

Surat: Around 150 members and former members of PAAS today joined ruling BJP here today.
On a day when BJP government in the state virtually succeeded in resolving the major issues pertaining to Patidar community during a meeting in capital Gandhinagar, 150 people of Patidar community mostly current and former PAAS members led by former convener of the Hardik Patel led outfit in Surat Nikhil Savani who was very active during quota stir here joined the party.
Surat BJP city unit head Nitin D Thakar said that Nikhil and around 150 of his supporters including Paritesh Desai and Bhavesh Siroya formally joined BJP today welcoming the decisions taken by the state government today.
Thakar said that they joined the party during the city unit executive meet held at its office Pandit Deendayal Bhavan in Udhana area in which local MP C R Patil and MLAs including Praful Panseriya and Mayor Asmitaben Siroya were also present.
Savani later said that he was happy with the way the government resolved the issues of the community today. He has full faith in the party.
