Coast Guard nabs 2 Pakistani boats with 15 on board in Arabian sea off Gujarat coast

The Indian Coast Guards have nabbed two Pakistani boats with 15 people aboard from the Indian waters in Arabian sea adjoining Jakhau coast of Kutch district in Gujarat, a senior officer of the ICG said today.
Earlier the BSF had nabbed a total of nine Pakistani boats and 8 fishermen from marshy Haraminala area in the coastal part of Kutch district close to International border. In all BSF has nabbed 31 such boats and 12 fishermen from the same area since August this year.
ICG patrol boat Meera from Okha nabbed the two Pakistani boats named Al Nabi and Sidiqi from the sea last night with 15 people on board.
Senior officer of ICG Ajay Chaturvedi confirmed the seizure of two Pakistani boats with 15 people. He said that the interrogation was on and he could not say at this juncture as to whether they were fishermen or not.
‘They were being interrogated,’ he said adding that he would divulge more details later.
Notably, security across Gujarat coast has been beefed up in the wake of upcoming assembly elections.
