Anandiben Patel appointed as Governor of Madhya Pradesh

Gandhinagar: Former Chief Minister of Gujarat Anandiben Patel has been appointed Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
The President of India Ram Nath Kovind today tweeted: The President of India is pleased to appoint Smt Anandiben Patel to be the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, with effect from the date she assumes charge of her office.
At present, the Governor of Gujarat OP Kohli is in charge of the post of Governor of Madhya Pradesh. Former orders on Anandiben’s appointment are awaited.
‘I don’t know anything, please spare me’, said Anandiben Patel to media persons when asked to react to her appointment as Governor of Madhya Pradesh, before the formal announcement made by the President.
Anandiben stepped down from the post of Chief Minister in year 2016 citing age factor.
Gujarat BJP spokesperson Bharat Pandya congratulated Anandiben for becoming Governor of Madhya Pradesh on twitter.
