AMC commissioner Mukesh Kumar files complaint about fake Facebook account

Ahmedabad:

The Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mukesh Kumar today lodged a complaint about a fake Facebook account in his name.

Kumar filed the complaint with the cyber cell of the crime branch of Ahmedabad police here.

Meanwhile the fake FB account has been deleted from the social media site.It was not immediately clear whether it was removed by the FB administration or the culprit himself.

A police official of crime branch said that some unknown person had created a fake FB account in Kumar’s name and has fraudulently uploaded his photo as profile picture.

Through the fake FB account the unknown fraudulent person sent friend request to many persons and even asked some of them to send funds to him to a Paytm account. The AMC commissioner had through his original profile intimated his friends to not to accept any new friend request and also not to pay any money through any such request.

Police said that the culprit would be nabbed soon.
