17.14 lakh students to appear in Gujarat board exams during 12-28 March

Gandhinagar: Total 17,14,797 students have registered for standard 10th and 12th annual exams that are to be conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board starting from March 12. The exam season will continue till March 28.
Standard 10th SSC exams will be conducted during 12-23 March during 10 am to 1.20 pm for which 11,03,674 students are registered.
Standard 12th science stream exams are to be conducted during 12-22 March 3-6 pm for which 1,34,671 students are registered.
Standard 12th general stream exams will be conducted during 12-28 March 10.30 am – 1.45 pm and 3-6.15 pm for which 4,76,634 students have submitted forms.
The board has created 135 zones under which exams will be conducted in 60,337 class rooms across 5,483 buildings at 1,548 centres. All class rooms will be under CCTV/tabler vigil during exams.
155 prisoners will give exams in standard 10th while 37 in standard 12th at Central jsils of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Lajpor(Surat).
Students with special needs are to be given space on the ground floors. Blind students will give exams through braille script question paper in standard 10 for the first time.
