Bharuch:
Movement of four-wheeler on the Golden bridge on river Narmada in Bharuch would be completely banned for one month from tomorrow.
Deputy Mamlatdar of Magisterial branch of collector office Rajubhai Rana today said that the restriction has been imposed for 30 days from March 29 ie tomorrow owing to the ongoing construction work for a new bridge parallel to the Golden bridge.
He said that that currently only the small four wheeler ply on the British era Golden bridge. Heavy vehicles like trucks etc were already banned.
‘The cars and other small four wheeler would ply through Sardar bridge and new cable bridge parallel to it via NH 8 during the restriction period,’ he said.
The Deputy Mamlatdar said that the two wheeler would ply as usual on the golden bridge.
Notably the Golden bridge was built in 1881.
