Aircraft stuck up due to technical snag, Runway of Ahmedabad Airport closed for an hour, some incoming flights diverted, departures delayed

Ahmedabad: The runway of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International airport here remained closed for almost an hour today as an aircraft was stuck up due to technical snag.
Airport Director Manoj Gangal said that AAI calibration Aircraft while taking off, from Ahmedabad Airport reported steering wheel jammed. Keeping aircraft safety requirements in to consideration, landing of 4 flights were diverted.

1. Go Air Chennai – Ahmedabad to Vadodara
2. Vistara Delhi- Ahmedabad to Vadodara
3. Indigo Hyderabad – Ahmedabad to Vadodara
4. Spicejet Bengaluru- Ahmedabad to Surat
The disabled aircraft was towed away at 1100hrs and after the runway closure for 1Hrs 2 Mins, all the diverted flights from Vadodara and Surat landed back, one after another, at Ahmedabad Airport, safely, the Airport Director said.
