Video of Youth Congress leader slapping professor of Gujarat University goes viral

Ahmedabad: CCTV video of Youth Congress leader Bhavinsinh Rathod beating up a professor has gone viral online with lot of condemnation. Rathod had tried to slap Dr. Nayan Jain, head of the Life Science department in Gujarat University with verbal abuses as Dr. Jain was not accepting examination form of a girl student for lack of required presence. Another student leader Girish Chaudhary who was accompanying Bhavinsinh had hit desktop computer on professor’s table. Chaudhary is former Syndicate member nominated by BJP.

Registrar of Gujarat University Dr. Piyush Patel has filed complaint against Bhavsinhsinh Rathod and Girish Chaudhary. Professors of Gujarat University today walked in march to protest the attack. Both Rathod and Chaudhary are booked under IPC 154.

Meanwhile, professors of Gujarat University today marched in rally protesting attack on Professor Jain.
