16 partner countries for Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2019 – Govt. shares details of Trade Show

Gandhinagar: The 2019 edition of Vibrant Gujarat Summit has so far attracted 16 countries as partners. They are Canada, France, Japan, Poland, South Korea, Thailand, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Sweden, Uzbekistan, Czech republic, Norway, Australia and Morocco. A separate pavilion of partner country will be created at Vibrant Gujarat Trade Show, informed the government today.

‘Vibrant Gujarat Trade Show(VGTS) will come up over 2 lakh square meter area with 18 domes and 2,000 stalls representing 25 sectors and more than 2,000 companies. Against 3000 sqm exhibition containing 36 stalls in VGTS 2003, year 2017 edition saw 1.25 lakh sqm exhibition containing 1000 stalls,’ the officials said.

‘VGTS 2019 is expected to witness more than 1.5 million visitors and around 3000 delegates from over 100 countries. Replica of Statue of Unity will be placed at VGTS 2019 venue. Business generation through buyer-seller meet and reserved buyer-seller meet, vendor development, bullet train simulator, innovation and technology display with robotic and laser cutting, African pavilion with participation of more than 20 countries, an exhibition showcasing the progress of earlier MoUs signed during Vibrant Gujarat Summit, digital economy and disruptive technology exhibition, exhibition of various schemes of Central government including Make in India, Digital India, Startup India, ITES, Sagarmala, Ayushyaman Bharat etc are other highlights of VGTS 2019,’ said the officials.

SME Zone of VGTS 2019 will have exhibition representing 25 sectors including export, commerce and investment capacity, agriculture and food processing, automobile and e-mobility, banking and finance, chemicals and petrochemicals, oil and gas, pharma, bio technology, ceramics, aviation, IT and port, transport and logistics, power, renewable energy, start ups and innovation, textiles, travel, tourism and hospitality, urban infra, water treatment and environment, education, skill development and engineering among others.

VGTS 2019 will be inaugurated on January 17. It will be reserved for visits by those participating in Vibrant Gujarat summit and other invitees. It will open for general public from 20th January.

VGTS – 2019 venue will have free wi-fi internet service. Food court, drinking water arrangement, CCTV cameras, 16 washrooms, 8 registration/information counters, admin building, lounge, control room, conference room, golf car and battery operated vehicles, fire safery, security are other features of the venue.
