January 31, 2019
Gandhinagar: Congress MlA and Thakor Sena leader Alpesh Thakor today called on the Gujarat Chief Minister at latter’s residence here. Thakor reportedly met the Chief Minister over the issue of ‘harassment to his Thakor Sena cadres by police’. However possibility of political agenda behind this meeting can’t be denied as Thakor has publicly expressed his displeasure against functioning of State Congress unit recently and he has been absent in party MLAs meeting called by State Congress.
When asked about this meeting, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on the sidelines of a function in North Gujarat said it was a routine meeting. He added, ‘MLAs keep meeting me for various issues, all Congress MLAs come and meet me.’
