Main state level I-day event in Gujarat on Aug 15 to be held in Chhota Udepur

Gandhinagar: Gujarat CM ijay Rupani will hoist tricolour at tribal dominated Chhota Udepur in the main state level event of the 73 rd Independence Day Celebrations on August 15.

Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel will do flag hoisting at Visavadar in Junagadh. Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Rajendra Trivedi will hoist the national flag at Jhagadiya in Bharuch.

Ministers of Stat Pradipsinh Jadeja- Limkheda district Dahod, Bachu Khabad, Shehra, district Panchmahal, Jaidrathsinh Parmar Saraswati district Patan, Ishwarsinh Patel Dholka district Ahmedabad, Vasanbhai Ahir, Nadiad district Kheda, Vibhawariben Dave Danta district Banaskantha, Ramanlal Patkar Jasdan district Rajkot, Kishor Kanani Dharampur district Valsad, Yogesh Patel Mandvi district Surat and Dharmendrasinh Jadeja Abdasa district Kutch.

In 10 districts Navsari (in Jalalpor), Dangs (Subir), Morbi (Halwad), Narmada (Gadureshwar), Mahisagar (Balasinor), Aravalli (Modasa), Botad (Gadadha), Gir Somnath (Verawal), Devbhoomi Dwarka (Dwarka) and Porbandar (Porbandar) collectors would hoist flags during district level events.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up across the state in the wake of Intelligence input of possible terror strike in the country on the occasion of Independence day.

Notably since the regime of the then CM Narendra Modi the main state level events of Independence day and republic day are being held outside the state capital.
