River rafting, a new attraction at Sardar Sarovar – Statue of Unity tourism circuit

Bharuch: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today inaugurated Gujarat’s first river rafting activity at Khalwani near Kevadiya colony in central Gujarat. Khalwani is located near Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam and Statue of Unity. The Government of Gujarat is in process to add number of new tourist attraction in this area.
According to the government, river rafting activity will be possible during entire year due to regular 600 cu sec flow of water at Khalwani. The facility will open for public with effect from 1st of September. The facility has been developed with the help of the experts from Northern Indian state Uttarakhand.
