Extended monsoon playing spoiler; First two night Navratri events at Rajpath and Karnavati clubs stay cancelled
September 28, 2019
Ahmedabad: City’s premier ticketed Garba events at Rajpath Club and Karnavati Club have been declared cancelled on 29th and 30th September – the first two nights of nine-day long festival Navratri.
The decision has been taken due to water logging in loan and parking areas and heavy rain forecast by IMD. The organizers said they will decide on whether to continue with Navratri events during rest of 7 nights later after assessing the ground situation and rainfall.
Navratri is 9-night long festival. Rajpath and Karnavati, both located on SG road of city are considered best ticketed destinations for Garba during Navratri.
One of most non-ticketed Garba grounds at GMDC is also water logged.
