Flying knives are back ahead of Uttarayan; first throat slit injury due to kite flying string reported

Ahmedabad: Flying knives are back ahead of kite flying festival – Uttarayan in Gujarat.A 54-year old lawyer Yogesh Parikh who lives in Suthar vas in Asarwa area suffered throat injury due to lethally sharp kite flying string on Asarwa bridge. Parikh was riding a bike when kite string injured him. He fell down from a bike following injury. Nearby commuters took him to Civil hospital. As he was wearing a helmet, Parikh didn’t face much injury. This is first incident of kite flying string injury this season. Uttarayan festival will be celebrated on January 14 across Gujarat.
