GAIC launches Water Soluble Fertilizers

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation (GAIC) launched various grades of imported water-soluble fertilizers at an event in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
GAIC Chairman Shri Madhubhai Shrivastav launched the water-soluble fertilizers in the presence of GAIC Managing Director Shri KS Randhawa, senior GAIC officers Shri Abhay Jain and Smt Hetal Desai, and a large number of prominent dealers of GAIC from all across the state.
Addressing the audience at the launch event, GAIC Chairman Shri Madhubhai Shrivastav emphasized on the need for precision agriculture and use of high-grade agri-inputs for improving the yield and quality for better remuneration.
“Gujarat has become a frontrunner state in terms of area under drip irrigation system. The use of water-soluble fertilizers will be the next step for precision agriculture and to produce fruits and vegetables matching global standards. We are confident that farmers will give good response to our latest offering,” he said, and reiterated the government’s commitment to help farmers double their income.
In his address, GAIC Shri Randhawa said that there are a number of players in the water-soluble fertilizer segment but “right quality, the right price, right place and right time remain the most critical issues”.
“We are launching a new generation of fertilizers in the market under our own brand today. Very soon, we will be coming out with customized grades of stage-specific and crop-specific fertilizers,” Shri Randhawa said.
Technical presentation describing the details of the water-soluble fertilisers was also given at the event. The water-soluble fertilisers launched were AGRO MKP, AGRO NOP, AGRO MAP, AGRO NPK, AGRO CN, AGRO SOP. While global brands charge exhorbitantly from farmers, local brands often compromise with quality. Being a 100% state govt.owned corporation, GAIC endeavors providing assured quality at reasonable prices.
