Coronavirus spread: 5 districts in Gujarat marked as green zone, 19 as orange zone, 9 as red zone

Gandhinagar: Gujarat has 9 districts as red zone, 19 districts as orange zone and 5 as green zone as per a list released by the department of health, Government of India.
The districts are classified based on incidence of cases, doubling rate, extent of testing and surveillance feedback. If there’s no confirmed cases so far or there is no reported case since last 21 days in the district it will be considered under green zone. The list is dynamic and it will be revised on a weekly basis or earlier. Based on field feedback and additional analysis at state level, states can designate additional red or orange zone as appropriate. However, states can not relax the zonal classification of districts classified as red/orange.
Districts that have been put under red zone in Gujarat are – Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Banakantha, Panchmahal, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar and Arvalli.
Districts that have been put under orange zone at present in Gujarat are – Rajkot, Bharuch, Botad, Narmada, Chhotaudepur, Mahisagar, Mahesana, Patan, Kheda, Valsad, Dahod, Kutch, Navsari, Gir Somnath, Dang, Sabarkantha, Tapi, Jamnagar and Surendranagar.
Districts that have been marked as green zone are Morbi, Amreli, Porbandar, Junagadh and Devbhumi Dwarka.
