Indian Navy and Gujarat based Raksha Shakti University ink MoU

New Delhi: The Indian Navy has recently signed Memorandums Of Understanding (MoU) with Gujarat based Raksha Shakti University (RSU). The signing of the MoU between the two Institutions intend to begin a new partnership that shall help in strengthening the indigenisation of the security infrastructure of the country.

According of Konark Rai, Executive Director of RSU, ‘this MoU is about providing training to naval officers on technology and innovation fronts with stress on Prime Minister’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. RSU has already been investing heavily on that front and now with this MoU, we will further take it forward. RSU will design tailor made training modules addressing the requirements of Navy. Naval officers would usually get such training outside the country but now we will create a research platform and provide trailer made courses. Sailors on the land will be offered physical training while those sea-born will be provided online training through RSU’s online platform RSU Integrated Space on online Education (RISE platform).’

MoUs were also signed with Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA); Maker Village, Kochi; and Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) in presence of Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh on the occasion of launching of the Naval Innovation and Indigenisation Organization (NIIO). An online discussion forum for engaging domestic industry and academic institutes created in partnership with RSU and was launched during the virtual event. DeshGujarat
