New Delhi: Unlock 4 guidelines are out. Metro services can resume from Sept 7; public gatherings are allowed from Sept 21 with ceiling of 100 persons. Cinema halls, swimming pools, theatres and similar places are to remain closed. However open air theatres are permitted to open from Sept 21. Schools, colleges,
Educational and coaching institutions are to remain closed; states and UTs may permit 50% of teaching staff to come to schools for online teaching from Sept 21. Students of Class 9-12 can voluntarily visit schools, with parents’ written consent. Higher education institutions for research scholars (PhD) and post-graduate students of technical and professional programmes requiring lab/experimental works can be permitted by dept of higher education in consultation with MHA. Unlock 4 guidelines lift ban on consuming liquor, gutka, tobacco products in public places. Only spitting in public places is now barred under National Directives for Covid-19 Management. State/ UT Governments shall not impose any local lockdown (State/ District/ sub-division/City/ village level), outside the containment zones, without prior consultation with the Central Government: Government of India. National Directives for Covid19 management shall continue to be followed throughout country, while ensure social distancing. Shops need to maintain adequate physical distancing among customers. MHA will monitor the effective implementation of National Directives.
