Bhadran takes over as SP of Jamnagar, a district gripped by fear, money and nexuses of overseas mafia Jayesh Patel alias Jaysukh Ranpariya

Jamnagar: Gujarat Police generally never fails in solving newsy cases of crimes to keep its record straight, barring one major exception, which is Jayesh Patel alias Jaysukh Ranpariya case. Though Ranpariya is facing over 41 cases of serious crimes including brutal murder of advocate Kirit Joshi and continuing to terrorize the people in Jamnagar, he is not nabbed yet! And the reason behind immunity to this draconian criminal who operates from overseas, lies most likely in his linkages with local police and politician including a senior minister in Gujarat. While a proven police officer Deepan Bhadran’s appointment in mafia activities-gripped Jamnagar district is a good move, the question still very much important is, whether he would enjoy free-hand, looking at reported nexus and linkages of criminals with section of local police and top politicians.
A news report in leading daily has today listed out the names of cops who are allegedly in nexus with Jayesh Patel alias Jayskhu Ranpariya. They are Bharat Patel, Yuus, PI Jalu, KK Gohil, Jayubhai Vagher and DySP SP Jadeja. The report has also raised a question that how new Superintendent of Police (SP) will be able to execute operation against district’s own Dawood Ibrahim, Jaysukh Ranpariya alias Jayesh Patel. If at all, the new SP wants to nab Ranpariya and blast his entire network, he will need to transfer these cops outside the district.
On the top of this, Rajya Sabha member with his home-town in Jamnagar, Parimal Nathwani has today tweeted a big revelation and stated that Range IG Sandip Singh in the past settled some cases in favor of criminals in tune with some politicians.
While new #Jamnagar SP @BhadranDeepan will use his brilliance & firm hands on criminals, some people suspect, I don’t know true or false, that Range IG Sandip Singh in past settled some cases in favour of criminals in tune with some politicians! @PMOIndia @CMOGuj @dgpgujarat pic.twitter.com/a4IxILzLPw

He has further said, ‘I am sure the dynamic & bold SP Bhadran Deepan with special mission will curb and control criminals and their political masters with firm hands. Your presence in #Jamnagar will give relief to law-abiding citizens.’

A news report in leading daily also has named minister of state in Gujarat government, Hakubha Jadeja as supporter of goons operating in Jamnagar district. Hakubha was in Congress earlier, but later joined BJP. While he is a junior minister, there’s one senior minister also who is believed to have linkages with Ranpariya’s network. Local BJP Councillor Atul Bhanderi has been accused of operating for Ranpariya. In Parshottam Rajani firing case, a complainant had named Bhanderi as one of accused. Bhanderi is believed close to senior minister and Jamnagar MLA RC Faldu. Bhanderi was earlier a part of Hardik Patel led quota agitation. He later was elected as Congress Councillor in Jamnagar Municipal Corporation. He then joined BJP.
It’s worth noting that Dubai based Jaysukh Ranparia (Jayesh Patel) – a wanted criminal with red corner notice by Interpol in his name – operates in Jamnagar district using fear, money and nexuses. And nexuses remain an important factor while dealing against him. If BJP wants its record of eliminating all organized gangs operating in the State clean, it will need to see that nothing from own party/government come as hurdle in operation to nab Ranpariya. Some cleanup operation will also be required.
