Chief Minister Rupani pointed out that flyovers inaugurated today are six lane wide which is uncommon generally. Rs. 15000 crore works have been kicked off and inaugurated in last few months in Gujarat during pandemic, he added. Rupani noted that four major projects were inaugurated and kicked off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. He said farmers across Gujarat will get day-time farm electricity supply in next three years period.
Addressing virtually, union Home minister Amit Shah in his address noted that there will be very few places in India where a fifty km road has no signals. Perhaps after Noida, SG – Chiloda highway will be first such stretch. He said 90 per cent portion of this Rs. 867 crore road project passes through Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency area. He pointed out that works on two over bridges opened today have completed before time. He said, these are important infrastructure links. He said this is the fasted developing area where population is rising. This road connects Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, it connects Saurashtra and Gandhinagar, it connects Saurashtra and North Gujarat, it connects Gujarat and Rajasthan. Speedy completion of this road project is crucial. This is just start and 7 more flyovers are going to be constructed. Gujarat has maintained first position in the domain of infrastructure. Covid19 shadow has not impacted development works in Gujarat.
