Shaktisinh Gohil seeks Congress to relieve him of Bihar, Delhi duties on health grounds: Report

New Delhi: According to a report published from Delhi, Congress party incharge for Bihar and Delhi, Shaktisinh Gohil(60) has requested the party leadership to relieve him of all organisational responsibilities on health grounds. Gohil who was elected as Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat early this year had tested positive for coronavirus on November 6.On December 3, he tweeted: “I was #COVID19 positive & now under strict medical supervision for post Covid complications. Due to lung infection, I have been medically advised not to talk or meet visitors. Recovery may take time. Thank you for your good wishes & concern. See you all once I’m fine!” Congress won just 19 of the 70 seats it contested in Bihar with Gohil as incharge, early this year. The article states that he was completely sidelined in the Bihar elections with appointment of a new central team led by Randeep Singh Surjewala.
