Mamlatdar, middleman nabbed by ACB Gujarat in Rs. 25 lakh bribe case

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a Mamlatdar and middle man in Rs. 25 lakh bribe case on Tuesday in Ahmedabad district.
Accused Hardik Motibhai Damor, a class-2 officer in the State government, is Mamlatdar in Dholka. A middle man involved is Jagdeish Jethabhai Parmar.
As per the details shared by ACB, a complainant had applied for correction in measurement of a piece of land on the outskirts of Badarkha near Dholka. Complainant had also applied for conversion of status from BinKhedut (non-farmer) to Khedut (farmer).
Accused Mamlatdar demanded Rs. 25 lakh bribe to clear the task. As complainant didn’t want to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and accused were held after they received bribe. Rs. 20 lakh sum was recovered from accused Mamlatdar while Rs. 5 lakh was recovered from a middle man who is a private citizen.
