ACB Gujarat nabs UGVCL helper, ASI of Tharad Police in bribe cases

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has (on 2nd February) held Amrat Prajapati, a 43-year old class-3 employee who works as helper in Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (UGVCL) in Jalotra sub station near Palanpur in Rs. 500 bribe case. Accused had demanded and received bribe for revival of disconnected power connection.
In a separate case (on January 29), ACB held Vijaykumar Karshanbhai Jadav, Assistant Sub Inspector serving in Tharad police station of Banaskantha district for demanding and receiving Rs. 7,000 bribe for not detaining and harassing a person accused in prohibition case.
