PGVCL helper held for taking Rs. 23,000 bribe

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed Paresh Timaniya, Electric Assistant (helper), class – 4 employee of Government owned Pashchim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL) at Vavdi sub division of Rajkot for seeking and receiving Rs. 23,000 bribe. A trap was arranged on the basis of victim complainant opposite Krishna Park hotel on Gondal road in Rajkot district on Tuesday. According to ACB, Timaniya had demanded bribe for resumption of power connection and re-installation of electric meter in a factory where connection was earlier disconnected and meter was withdrawn for some reasons.
