Kutch origin, Bengal politician Dinesh Trivedi joins BJP

New Delhi: Former union railway minister Dinesh Trivedi who represented Barackpore Lok Sabha constituency of West Bengal in the past in Lok Sabha and left his Rajya Sabha seat last month today joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in New Delhi at BJP national headquarters in presence of party’s national president JP Nadda. Trivedi had last month announced his resignation while speaking in upper house. His surprise announcement had shocked Mamata Banerjee led TMC. Trivedi announced his resignation when his five-year term in Rajya Sabha was left. Former pilot, Dinesh Trivedi who belongs to Kutch in Gujarat was one of top aides of Trinamool Congress leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Trivedi was in fact one of founding members of TMC. West Bengal is going to witness general election of assembly in 8-phase poll starting later this month.
