Late Mohan Delkar’s son meets CR Patil in Surat
March 07, 2021
Surat: Abhinav Delkar, son of late independent Lok Sabha member Mohan Delkar today visited Surat based residence of Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil and demanded removal of Praful Patel from the post of administrator of union territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli.
Mohan Delkar had committed suicide in Mumbai based hotel last month. Delkar was a 7-term Lok Sabha member of Dadra Nagar Haveli, a union territory located south of Gujarat. He died of suicide in Marine Drive based hotel in Mumbai. Though Police has not confirmed, it is reported that Delkar had left a long suicide note which included number of names including the name of union territory’s administrator.
Delkar’s son after meeting with CR Patil said: I have made only demand in the meeting that the administrator and the officers in union territory should be removed. The name that has emerged in this case is Praful Patel. He is on the post of administrator. He should be removed from the post so that neutral probe can be initiated. My father had told me so many things, but we never imagined, it would go to this extent. We are in correspondence, we will disclose more details eventually. We have full faith on Mumbai Police that they will do all procedure, but the administrator has to be removed from his post so that neutral probe can proceed.’
