54% population in 45+ and 12% in 18-44 age group given first dose of Covid vaccine in Gujarat: Govt

Gandhinagar: State Health Secretary Jayprakash Shivhare while sharing the details of Covid vaccination programme in Gujarat today said that more than two crore doses of covid vaccines have been administered.
He said Gujarat has emerged best performer in vaccination of health care workers and front line workers. He said the State has topped countrywide in per million vaccination.
Shivhare said 54 per cent population in 45 plus age group and 12 per cent population in 15-44 age group received first dose of covid vaccine in the State. On upcoming plans he said, active role will be played by elected representatives, social and religious leaders and community organizations. DeshGujarat
