June 21, 2021
Gandhinagar: The admission process under Right To Education (RTE) Act for the students of 1st standard will begin from 25th June 2021 and the first round of admissions will be held on 15th July 2021.
It is to be noted that children belonging from financially weak and deprived sections are given admissions at free cost for the 25% reserved seats in private schools under RTE each year. This process will begin two months later this year compared to previous years due to Covid-19 pandemic. The process of online form filling will take place on RTE admission portal from 25th June 2021 to 5th July 2021.
The process of rejection or acceptance of these forms based on their verification by DEO (District Education Officer) and DPO (District Planning Officer) will take place from 6th July 2021 to 10th July 2021. This year, the Education Department has ordered each DEO and DPO to mention a specific reason for rejecting any form and to facilitate Help Desk at Taluka level and Help Centre and Helpline Number at District level.
