Somnath Sanskrit University now in ICCR list; 3 foreign students get admission

Junagadh: Shree Somnath Sanskrit University has been added to the list of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), thanks to which the foreign students will be able to get admissions in various courses of the university and their expenses will be borne by the government of India.
Total 9 foreign students had applied for admission here, out of which 3 students have got admission in the university this year. They are Farshad Salezehi from Iran for BA with Sanskrit course, Rathindro Sarkar from Bangladesh for PhD course and Mansoor Sangeen from Afghanistan for MA with Sanskrit course.
Shree Somnath Sanskrit University has started four new courses which are Integrated BA of four years’ duration, MA General Sanskrit, external MA with Sanskrit and Diploma in Sanskrit. Till now, total 94 students have completed PhD and 61 students are currently doing PhD on various subjects from the university. DeshGujarat
