Ahmedabad: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) today announced that its cumulative two-wheeler sales in Gujarat have now crossed the 50 lac units’ mark.

In 2001, Honda 2Wheelers began operations with its maiden two-wheeler Activa. It took Honda 15 years to have its first 25 lac customers in Gujarat – a key two-wheeler market in India. With almost 3 times the speed, Honda has now doubled its customers in Gujarat by adding the recent 25 lakh customers in 6 years. With this, Honda now has over 50 lac two-Wheeler customers in the state.

Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Serving our customers better by manufacturing closer to the markets, we started our 4th factory in Vithalapur (district Ahmedabad) in 2015.
