Worried by recent religious conversions, Bari Baria Samaj holds meeting in South Gujarat

Surat: A meeting of all communities was held on Saturday at Radha Krushna temple in Maroli Macchiwad in Umargam taluka of South Gujarat over some recent religious conversions of Hindus to Christian faith.
Six members of one family of Bari Bariya community in Maroli Dandi village of Umargam were converted to Christian faith recently leaving Hindu faith. A video their Baptisma has gone viral on social media platforms and spread shocker.
Sentiments of Bari Bariya community and Hindus are hurt due to this incident of religious conversion. A memorandum in this regard was also submitted to Mamlatdar or Umargam.
On Saturday a meeting of all communities was held under the leadership of Bari Samaj president Ganeshbhai Bari, former Sarpanch of Nargol Jayeshbhai Bari and others. A discussion was held on dangers of religious conversion threat by Christian Missionaries. The participants also decided to make representation before the Chief Minister over this issue.
