July 2021 saw highest car sell in Gujarat in last five years

Ahmedabad: The share of cars sold in the July this year was the highest among the last 5 years. As per the data of Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), the percentage share of cars was 35.17 % of total 1.17 lakh vehicles sold in the month of July this year. Total 41,262 cars were sold in the state in July 2021. It is mentioned in the article that 70 % car sales was recorded in rural Gujarat in July this year. People traditionally purchase vehicles on the occasion of Ashadi Bij. The percentage share of cars in July 2020 was 33.46 percent of total 0.84 lakh vehicles sold in the state. The percentage share of cars was 19.70 %, 23.44 % and 24.23 % in 2019, 2018 and 2017 respectively out of total sales of the vehicles. As per the article, the car sales during 7 months from January to July 2021 constitutes 28.5 % of the total 6.63 lakh vehicles sold this year which is also the highest in the past 5 years.
