Merja announces resumption of recruitment process, restart Annapurna Yojana

Gandhinagar: Labour and Employment minister Brijesh Merja today announced recruitment for 15,000 posts in Panchayat department for the posts including Talati, junior clerks and MPHW. There are 16,400 vacant posts. A process of recruitment pending since 2018-19 will be resumed and fees collected previously for old form will be returned as the new recruitment will be made through centralized system, said Merja adding that the recruitment process may complete in next six months. The new minister said he also intends to restart Annapurna Yojana within next one month. The previous government had discontinued this yojana of providing food at token rate to labourers. DeshGujarat
