Under construction flyover on SP Ring Road collapses; injury to none reported

Sabarmati: Portion of an under-construction flyover at Sardar Patel Ring Road collapsed today near Shantipura collapsed today evening. No injury is reported in this incident. The bridge is being constructed by a contractor on behalf of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority. A slab could be seen collapsed in ‘V’ shape with its middle portion down to the ground. The bridge is being built to connect Sanathal chowkdi to South Bopal. According to Chief Fire Officer Rajesh Bhatt, around dozen workers atop the flyover came down safely after the slab collapsed. He said it is not yet confirmed whether some one was happened to be under the slab when the slab collapsed.
