Gujarat govt to build a four lane highway connecting Saputara to Statue of Unity: Minister

Surat: Cabinet Minister for Roads and Buildings Purnesh Modi announced the government’s plan to build a four lane highway connecting Saputara to Statue of Unity, Kevadia, in a function in Dang district of South Gujarat for launch of Rs 548.88 lakh development works.
The foundation stone laying of a bridge connecting Machhli, Chikhla and Divadiyavan and the dedication of renovation of a road of Dhavlidod, Dhuda and Piplaidevi was performed by Minister.
He announced that a four lane state highway connecting Saputara with the Statue of Unity via Galkund, Ahwa, Subir, Songadh, Ukai and Kevadia will be built. He said that it will generate employment opportunities at the local level.
In addition to the four lane highway, he also declared about constructing a roller bearing protection wall with modern technology to be built at the 50 km ferry road between Vaghai to Saputara at a cost of Rs 10 crores to prevent accidents.
