Five from Muslim community booked under atrocity act for allegedly vandalize Ambedkar’s photo frame

Vadodara: A group of Muslims allegedly broke the glass of the photograph of Dr B.R. Ambedkar and misbehaved by speaking casteist words in a renovation program of a crematorium in Dena village in Vadodara according to a Police complaint filed.
A program of the foundation stone laying of the renovation of a crematorium of the scheduled cast was arranged in Dena village. The leaders such as MLA Madhubhai Shrivastav, Jilla Panchayat president Ashok Patel, member Natubhai Rohit, taluka panchayat member Jayshriben Goswami and Dena sarpanch Vahidkhan Pathan were present in the program. Meanwhile, some people entered and made demands to MLA Madhubhai Shrivastav. Some Muslim persons allegedly broke the glass on the photograph of Dr B R Ambedkar on the table.
The accused namely Mansurkhan Badharkhan Pathan, Mohsin Kadarkhan Pathan, Munna Karimbhai Pathan, Ahmad Razak Hazrat, and Altaf Anvar Pathan entered at the spot at around 11.30 am. They allegedly misbehaved and spoke casteist words. The taluka police has booked six accused under rioting and atrocity act. DeshGujarat
