Dead mouse in Punjabi subji ordered from restaurant; Two hospitalized

Ahmedabad: A woman and her son were hospitalized after eating paneer bhurji with a dead mouse in it from Heena restaurant located near Dilli Darwaja area of the city. The condition of woman is critical. When complained, Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) slapped a restaurant just with a fine of Rs. 10,000.

Parmar family, living in Marwadi ni Chali at Nava Vadaj had ordered the paneer bhurji from a restaurant named Heena restaurant located near vegetable market at Dilli Darwaja on Monday. The woman and her young son Parthiv Parmar had started vomiting and feeling dizzy due to food poisoning after consuming the dish. The mother and son were admitted to civil hospital via 108 ambulance.

The young son Parthiv later approached the police. A complaint was later registered with the AMC additional health officer, following which the restaurant was raided. The AMC team served notices, took sample of ingredients for laboratory test along with A fine of Rs 10,000.
