February 02, 2022
Mahesana: The gadi-pati of Mira Datar Darhag of Unava in Mehsana district, Khalid Naqvi has once again asked the government to put ban on Dawat-e-Islami organization. He said he has been making this demand before the government since year 2018, as this Pakistan headquartered orgranization collects donation in India and transfers the fund to Pakistan which is then used for terrorist activities against India itself.
In a detailed video statement, the Gadi pati of Gujarat’s one of busiest Dargah said, “We have been demanding ban on Dawat-e-Islami organization since 2018. Our organisation is Sufi Khanqah Association, which is active in 20 states and 400 districts across India. We are active in drawing the attention of the government since we learnt that these people (Dawat-e-Islami) are collecting donation money by installing donation boxes at small and large shops. The money is collected in the name of Jakat. They claim across the country that the money collected from people is used for the education of children, but it is totally false. The fund is collected in large cities such as Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Surat and it is sent to Pakistan via Dubai through hawala. The head office of Dawat-e-Islami is in Karachi and it is connected to Pakistan’s spy agency Inter Service Intelligence (ISI). The money is used for sabotage activities in our country. We have written this matter through memorandums to the government, the central government and also the home ministry.”
It’s worth noting that Delhi based Muslim cleric, Maulana Qamar Gani Usmani’s linkages to Dawat – e – Islami organization has come to light. Mauana is among six persons arrested in Kishan Bharwad murder case and he is on police remand at present. Kishan Bharwad was murdered over alleged blasphemous social media post.
