State GST deprtment nabs Rs. 762 crore bogus billing case accused through ATS

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has nabbed the accused Nilesh Patel- chairman of Madhav copper limited in Bhavnagar in Rs 762 crore bogus billing scam and handed over him to State GST department.

The accused had absconded after the crime was filed against him. Meanwhile, he had received a stay from the supreme court on his nabbing. He had also tried to get anticipatory bail from the court but he failed. The duration of the stay ended on Friday. The accused had allegedly tried to move his car on the GST officials and escaped to prevent his nabbing.
