Reach Somnath and Gir Jungle by air from Mumbai; inaugural flight on April 16

Junagadh: The union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will inaugurate a new flight service from Mumbai to Keshod, to be operated by Alliance Air, on 16th April.
The flight will be launched as part of the UDAN scheme of the central government, under which 50 percent of seats in aero planes are offered at concession rates. The flight will be inaugurated at 2 pm, after which Alliance Air flight 9I 676 will take off for Mumbai at 3.30 pm, as informed by an official.
The flight will operate thrice a week- Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, informed a spokesperson of Alliance Air.
The Keshod airport near Asiatic lion’s abode Gir and Somnath mandir will start commercial operations after 21 years. The airport has been developed under the revival of airports scheme of the government of India at the cost of Rs 25 crore. DeshGujarat
