Gujarat govt opens five smart libraries; Six more to be developed in next one year

Ahmedabad: Five smart Govt libraries were opened today at Mahesana, Rajkot, Junagadh, Vadodara and Ahmedabad. Six other district libraries are to be developed as Smart library in next one year.
A smart library opened at Vastrapur in Ahmedabad has over 36,000 books and 15,000 members. The library has now computer, internet, cafetaris etc facilities. The membership fee of this library is just Rs. 200 for five years. Out of that Rs. 160 is refundable deposit. The library has subscribed to 14 newspapers and 25 magazines. DeshGujarat
