First female driver for Khilkhilat van in Gujarat

Godhra: A female named Vaishaliben Gidvani, from Santrod village of Morwa Hadaf in Panchmahal has become the first female driver of Khilkhilat van.

Khilkhilat ambulances, launched by the state government in collaboration with GVK EMRI, are specially designed to drop the mother and the newborn child at their home free of cost.

The recruitment process for the drivers of Khilkhilat was arranged recently in Ahmedabad in which 6 female drivers appeared for the interview. Vaishaliben Gidvani was selected for this post after the interview by the selection team. She joined her duty on Friday from Godhra civil hospital. The doctors of Godhra civil hospital, officials and employees of 108-department remained present on this occasion.

Vaishaliben is 26 years old and she has completed her studies till class 12. She was fond of driving since childhood and she worked as a salesman through her uncle’s Eco car for 3 years. DeshGujarat
