Gandhinagar: Khedbrahma congress MLA Ashwin Kotwal and Keval Joshiyara, the son of late Congress MLA from Bhiloda Dr Anil Joshiyara, are likely to join ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) soon. Speculations are rife that they may join ruling party on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya at State party headquarters Shri Kamlam.

Both Khedbrahma and Bhiloda seats are tribal populated and located in North Gujarat. Congress has been winning these seats repeatedly since long.

Kotwal is sulking after appointment of new office bearers in Congress legislative party in State assembly. Late Dr Anil Joshiyara had passed away during the third wave of covid-19 pandemic after a prolong treatment assisted by the State government. The seat is vacant after his death.
