Cong holding two-day Nav Sankalp Sammelan in Bhiloda and Khebrahma
June 01, 2022
Aravalli: At a time when every political party in Gujarat is trying their level best to ensure victory on the tribal seats during the forthcoming assembly polls, the state unit of the Congress will hold a ‘Nav Sankalp Sammelan’ (Renewed Resolve Convention) today and tomorrow in the Khedbrahma and Bhiloda assembly constituencies.
Both Khebrahma and Bhiloda assembly seats were won by the Congress in 2017 but Khebrahma MLA Ashwin Kotwal has resigned from the party and joined the BJP. The son of Bhiloda’s Congress MLA late Dr Anil Joshiyara, who died at a Chennai hospital during medical treatment after being infected by corona, has also joined the BJP.
Congress spokesperson, Dr Manish Doshi, said that the ‘Nav Sankalp Sammelan’ is being held in Khedbrahma and Bhiloda to expose the ‘traitors’ who owe their identity to the Congress party, were given the opportunity of occupying public office, and who emerged victorious in the assembly elections because of the hard work of Congress workers but have now joined a different party utterly disregarding the wishes of the people.
Congress party in charge for Gujarat, Dr Raghu Sharma, state party president Jagdish Thakor, leader of the opposition, Sukhram Rathva, former MP Madhusudan Mistry as well as members and leaders of Congress party from taluka panchayat and Municipality will remain present at the convention.
