Govt using mobile app to keep track of malnourishment at over 3,000 aanganwadis
June 06, 2022
Sabarkantha: The government is keeping an eye on the issue of malnourishment in Sabarkantha and Aravalli districts by using the Nutrition Tracker Application at nearly 3,000 Aanganwadis (creches) in these two districts.
To know the actual situation with regards to malnourishment, the women running each of these 3,000 aanganwadis have been given a smartphone to enable the government to digitally review the conditions prevailing at these aanganwadis.
The smartphones that have been issued to the women managing the aanganwadis have the Nutrition Tracker Application downloaded in them which the aanganwadi workers can use to stay active on the dashboard.
The government is thus able to pay direct attention to each and every beneficiary of this aanganwadis through the medium of a smartphone-based application. Special attention is being paid to children’s development and growth in the 0-5 years age group.
Regular growth monitoring is being done on the tracker dashboard at these aanganwadi centres. DeshGujarat.
