Arrangements for 6-seater bullet-proof rope-way cabin for PM’s Pavagadh visit
June 15, 2022
Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Pavagadh on June 18 at a time when the state is on high alert following threats from terror outfit, Al Qaeda, to conduct terror strikes in several states, including Gujarat.
The NSG and SPG commandos have already taken up positions at Pavagadh. On Tuesday, the chief of the Central Intelligence Bureau (IB) also visited Pavagadh. PM Modi will complete the 800-meter journey between Manchi and the temple in a bullet-proof rope-way cabin.
In the past, some of those convicted in the Ahmedabad serial blasts were trained in the forests surrounding Pavagadh. Considering such facts, the security of the Prime Minister is posing a big challenge for the local police as well as other security agencies.
Sources indicate that Prime Minister Modi will arrive at Pavagadh Shaktipeeth at around 9 am. The distance between the helipad and the temple is around 8 km. The PM’s convoy will reach Manchi via Champaner.
A special bullet-proof rope-way cabin with the capacity to accommodate six people has been arranged for this purpose. SPG commandos will accompany PM Modi in the rope-way cabin. After completing the journey by rope-way, the PM will climb 40 steps and reach the Kali Mata temple. He is scheduled to remain at the temple for half an hour. Arrangements have been made to ensure flawless security for the PM’s 2 and half hours long Pavagadh visit. DeshGujarat
