Gujarat govt declares Rs 7,275 per quintal as MSP for Moong summer harvest

Gandhinagar: The state government under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has taken yet another important decision to procure the summer crop of Moong from farmers at a minimum support price. The MSP for the procurement has been fixed at Rs 7,275 per quintal.
The procurement will start on July 21, according to agriculture minister Raghavji Patel. The agriculture minister informed that the Moong arriving at the various APMCs of the state is fetching much lower prices on an average and the government has decided to procure the crop from farmers at MSP of Rs 7,275 per quintal to ensure they don’t suffer financial losses.
