Gujarat ATS seizes a huge consignment of drugs at Mundra Port

Kutch: Gujarat anti-terror squad (ATS) has taken hold of a big consignment of drugs today morning in a raid at Mundra port that started in the late evening on Monday.
ATS officials said they seized drugs from Mundra port, mainly heroin. The consignment was coming from the Middle East. An announcement will be made in the next few hours regarding the quantity and value of that consignment.
Sources in the Police state that ATS has been carrying out search operations with the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on the basis of the intel about the huge inflow of narcotic substances at Mundra Port in the Kutch District.
In September 2021, DRI did the largest drug seizure in the country when the agency caught 3004 kg of Heroin worth Rs 21000 crore. Later the matter was handed over to NIA to probe all the angles.
This raid and seizure also come just after 5 days when BSF nabbed four Pak fisherman in Kutch with 10 boats. DeshGujarat
