Gujarat govt nod to Amreli waterworks project

Amreli: The state government has approved the proposal of Amreli municipality to build waterworks in Hirakbag at a cost of Rs 15.82 crore.
Amreli municipality president Manishaben Ramani informed that a project was planned to strengthen the existing structure of water distribution to enable the supply of drinking water with enough force to the residents of main areas in Amreli city. The proposal was sent to the state government for approval, which has now been formally approved, she added.
New waterworks will be built in Hirakbag located on the main road of Amreli at a cost of Rs 15.82 crore under the project. The pipelines and pumping machine will be set-up and the water distribution will be started in the main areas of the city from the tank. The OG areas of the city will also get drinking water with enough force from the tank. Amreli municipality has also planned tree-plantations of 5000 trees across the city. DeshGujarat
