Locals in Shamlaji protest against NHAI over recent flood

Aravalli: The merchants and locals of Shamlaji gathered at Ahmedabad-Udaipur National Highway No. 8 to protest against the national highway authority alleging that the recent flooding in the town was caused due to no arrangement of water disposal.
The construction of six lane Ahmedabad-Udaipur National Highway no. 8 connecting Delhi and Mumbai is ongoing in slow pace. The highway is built by cutting the hills near Shamlaji. The locals alleged that the rainwater flooded the houses and markets of the city due to no proper arrangement of water removal provisioned by the national highway authority. They alleged that around 10 shops faced loses worth lakhs of rupees due to floods.
